What Game Are You Playing?
Simon Sinek explains it best when he differentiates the FINITE game from the INFINITE game. The FINITE Game is defined by known players, fixed rules and agreed upon objectives. On the contrary, the INFINITE Game consists of known and unknown players, changeable rules with the objective to sustain or perpetuate the game.
What happens when a FINITE player is pitted against an INFINITE player? Simply put, the FINITE player plays to win while the INFINITE player aims to stay in the game. Life is an INFINITE game. The same can be said for Relationships, Business and Career.
As a young generation we’ve been cultured by our immediate environment to value INSTANT GRATIFICATION and consciously or subconsciously apply this FINITE rule to prioritize short-term gains from relationships, life and career aspirations.
Make progress in increments. You’re never expected to have all the answers.
Approach each day with the mindset to do a little better than the day before. Appreciate people through each chance provided. Always seek new opportunities to sharpen and broaden your skillset.
